Baptism fulfils all Righteousness.

Permit it to be so now., for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness… (Matt 3.15). Then when He had been. baptised came up immediately out of the water and behold the heavens were opened unto him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and aligning on him and suddenly voice came from heaven saying this is my beloved Son in-home I am well pleased (v16,17).

The above picture of Jesus baptism gives us believers the process of salvation where by God himself calls us sons also, and this process is thorough water and spirit (John 3:5) the new birth, through which every believer enters into in order to obtain sonship. “For thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness” A man can do many things to obtain righteousness with God but unless he is a Son (through baptism) then all his world of righteousness are in vain. Righteousness begins by obedience to Jesus and the new birth, the first command for all those who desire to be son’s.

God, I need a Word!

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: (Isaiah 55;10)

“For as the rain cometh down and as the snow from heaven.. shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth.” What word I this is this, the word that goes out from the mouth of God. that which is breathed by God, lives because of God. The Lord God formed man from the dust and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. That’s what I need today, don’t you! Folks, we need a word that gives us breath today. A word that causes us to stand up again, a word that makes a man get up out of his seat and believe God again.
It shall Not return void.” A word spoken by God charged with his holy fire cannot return void. While on earth Jesus spoke to things he spoke to situations and everything he touched breathed again. It is the word that he sends to you that has the power to accomplish that which he promised to you. that word, yes that word cannot fail. His word come without failure, it shall not return to him void. His word is a producing word. If he said it he will do it. if he gave you a word for a better tomorrow, then today look out my tomorrow is already here.
The word is “seed to the sower and bread to the eater.” Seed to the sower. That’s what you are. a sower fo seed. He that sows seed shall surely come again bearing precious seed. Why it’s a word for every season, cold or hot, barren or plentious. Declare today, I have seed this morning, in my darkest moment and driest season I have seed.
Finally “It shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it.” God won’t let you down, he said it and he dies it. ion he spoke it, he will do it. If he prophesied it, he cannot lie about it. Hold still, be still, know he is God and you are not. God let you word come down as rain today! I need a Word!

Fresh Wine from an Apostolic Wineskin.

Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” (Matthew 9;17).

The balance between presentation and influence. Changing a generation while ourselves being changed. Holding on to tradition while releasing something new, history and legacy, preserving both through keeping a fresh flow of wine available. After all what is the point of holding onto something if it’s not a conduit of freshness and revival. While we value our apostolic heritage we must watch ourselves that the wineskin does not go dry and crack while focusing on self presevation can often lead to staleness and barrenness. Fresh wine keeps the old wineskins in good shape, making it flexible and all the while keeping its a clean vessel for the great and new things the Lord has in store for the generation to come.

Matthew 28:19 the Name in Baptism

And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matt 28;17-20).

I would suggest that it was what Jesus said immediately before he prefaced His command concerning baptism by saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me, (28:18). Therefore or because I have all authority, do this, baptise them in the name…. yes the name of him who is God. The emphasis on the Great Commission is on the authority of Jesus and the authority of his name to do signs and wonders. The disciples recognised that the name (authority) into which we are baptised is the same name who had just claimed all authority in heaven and earth:  In acts the apostles baptised into the name and without the name no one was baptised. The act as in the authority lay not in a phrase but in the “name” over which the candidate who confessed their sins was reborn.

Does Baptism Save us?

When Moses was born his mother hid him, “she took an ark of bulrushes”  and covered it with “asphalt and pitch” (NKJV) and hid him. (Ex 2;1-3) She placed him in an “ark.”  Noah was instructed by God to build an “ark” covered with “pitch” (Gen 6;14). Both these arks were placed in water.
The ark and the water is a symbol of water baptism. Preservation and salvation. It was through the ark that’s Moses life was preserved from a wicked Pharaoh and it was through the ark that Noah and his family were saved from the flood that covered the earth. “Doth not baptism now save us?
“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”  (1 Peter 3;21) baptism and salvation are connected, resurrection and baptism are also connected. Baptism is a deliverance.

Sin’s Power over me is Broken

Sins power over me is broken
When he died I died
When he arose I arose.
Sins power over me in broken (Song by TBJoshua).

These lines tell us a secret of the new life which is found is the Lord’s DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION. We enter into the new life the resurrected life through death, burial and resurrection, which becomes ours through baptism, yes baptism in his name. When we are baptised in JESUS name we are baptised for the remission all sins (Acts 2:38) and bury the old nature. When we receive his Holy Spirit, we arise into the newness of life as a new creation in him.

Through baptism, I am CRUCIFIED with Christ (Gal 2;20 ). I am BURIED with him by baptism (Col 2;12) I am RISEN with Christ (Romans 8;11). And YOU being dead in your sins hath he quickened (made alive or resurrected) together with him having forgiven all trespasses (Col 2;13). Have you been baptised into the NAME of JESUS?… Therefore declare today: “Sins power over me is broken!” in Jesus name, Amen.
