The Church of God (2)

General Subject
Stewards of The Mysteries of God

Message One
The Church of God (2)
Scripture Reading 1 Peter.

PROPOSITION: A mini Study
To Grow spiritually one must Be active in the kingdom and a part of the local church.

1. The Church, Without God, Cannot Claim to be of God.
Since however it has God it can claim to be of God.
Because it is born of God and has God as its father, the church is a manifestation of God in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16). The church has its doctrine his character his passion and his mission. It reflects the father and his heart.

2. The Church Because It is of God, Has God as its father
..and hence God as its author it can demonstrate God in its nature, by the manifestation of spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12 1 Cor 14). Because it has the power of God it reveals the justice of God through its righteousness and holiness.

3. The Church Because it has God, has the Nature of God,
The Church Because it has God, has the Nature of God, the truth and the life of God. God is light and the church is light we exist as a lighthouse to those whose life is a storm, we exist as a lamp to those who sit in darkness and have no hope.
God the dew of Hebron is reflective in the church which arises in the morning after the dark cold night like the dew on the lowlands. She hides the morning and slowly rises to reveal the majesty of God’s moment hour upon hour, to those who behold her glory and story.
God is our Rock and so the church must reflect Christ stability and comfort in a world of instability and upheaval. We reveal God the rock (Ps 19:14. Deut 32, 4,15,18,30,31).
As God is a pillar of fire by night so to the church seeks to reflect God’s power and passion through the preaching of his word, Thy word was as fire shut up in my bones.  When we preach we show the fire of God in our bones

4. The Church Because it has God as it’s Saviour, has its gospel.
There are many churches that teach another gospel and another Jesus they don’t preach the faith once delivered. Neither do they preach the gospel of Peter and Paul. They use their texts and tell their story but they have no revelation like the apostles had, hence they preach another doctrine and another gospel and another Jesus.

5. The Church Because it has God as its Pillar has God as its Power
The Church Because it has God as its Pillar, has God as its Power and as such demonstrates the miracle power of the living God (1 Tim 3:16). The object, subject and topic of the church is God himself (1 Cor 3:16,17) The household of God is made up of many sons of God (Rom 8:29) Because the house of God is God’s house, he lives in it, and the church is alive in him. Because the House of God is his house no man can be be said to be head of the house except God. Man can buy and building yet god alone can purchase the church (Acts 20;28)
The church manifests the power of God through miracles and healings.
The church manifests the justice of God through its righteousness and holiness.

Are you individually frequent in reading scriptures, diligently seeking truth and pursuing the knowledge of God? Are parents practicing reading the scriptures to their children and family, encouraging them to seek God in prayer and word?

Before meals help us remember the nearness of God and help us develop a spirit of thankfulness to the Lord for all things he has provided.

3.What is our Individual Responsibility in regards to intimacy with God?
Men ought always to pray and not to faint (Luke 18:1).
No one is going to make a life for you. Even God says, here are the keys now you do it. This is why we need mentors, pastors, associates and a team. It may be a group or circle of friends you connect with regularly who can give input advice and wisdom into your life. We all need these kinds of friends

There is much to do here on earth

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5;16).

6.What is our Individual responsibility for global missions?
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:15-18)

But he that doth truth cometh to the light and his deed may be manifest, that they are wrought in god (John 3:21).
That ye might worthy of the Lord

8.What is our Individual responsibility to fellowship?
I thank God.. for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now (Phil1;3,5).
For by one Spirit we are all baptised into one body… and have been made to drink into one Spirit (1 Cor 12:13).

9.What is our Individual understanding of the truth
That their hearts might be confirmed being knit unloved and unto all riches of of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God and of the Father and of christ. (Col 2:2).

10.What is our Individual Responsibility for one’s gift and talent?
Moreover it is required of a that he be faithful.
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come (ENGAGE IN BUSINESS ESV) (Luke 19:13).
Let every man prove his own work and then he shall have rejoicing in himself alone and not in another (Gal 6:4).

These papers are written By Paul B Thomas for the propagation of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, the understanding of the apostles doctrine and the revelation of Jesus Christ.

NOTES: Faith is a verb an action word. We grow in the faith and in the knowledge of God, our witness becomes stronger and out influence greater. what is more, we make sure our salvation. And pay the more heeded attention lest at anytime we let these things slip (Hebrews. 2:1).

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4;18).

Surely he has Bourn our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment) yet we (ignorantly) considered him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God, (as if with leprosy) but he was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes I am healed and made whole (Isaiah 53:4-5).

5.Is Restoration to the fullness of health possible?
For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds saith the Lord because they have called you an outcast, this is Zion whom no one seeks after and no one cares (Jer 30:17).

6.What should be our confession?
They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover (Mark16:18).
Let the weak say I am strong (Joel3:10).
Surely he shall deliver the from the snare of the Fowler ( Ps91:39)
The Lord is the true God, he is the living God (Jer 10:10)
Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel beside me there is no God (Is 44:6)
He hath filled he hungry with good things (Luke 1:53).

Both riches and honour comes from thee (1 Chron 29:12)
He raisers up the poor out of the dust and lifted up the beggar (1 Sam 2:8)

7.The Gospel is good news with Power.
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation (Ro1:16).

The man with the withered hand..Stretch forth thine hand  (Matthew 12;13)
The Man with an infirmity 38 Years..Wilt thou be made whole (John 5;6)

The Woman with an issue of blood…Who touched me, For I perceive that virtue is gone out of me (Luke 45-46).

8.The healed on should be loosed from all bondage of the Past.
Loose him and let him go (John 11;44).

The were cleansed? But where are the nine there are not found, that returned to give glory to God save, this stranger (Luke 17:17-18).

10.Fasting and prayer is necessary in certain cases.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matt 17-21).

NOTES: Jesus is our healer. We know this because healing is his nature , just as truth is his nature, and salvation is his essence so then healing is not only what he gives but who he is. He is healing. And he cannot give anything but healing for that is what he is.
Questions to Consider
: Is healing God’s will? Is sickness a result of the curse of sin? Has Christ dealt withe curse on Calvary? How should we believe God for healing? Is healing the sick proof of the coming of the kingdom? (Matt 12;28) Did Jesus give the disciples power over the enemy? (Luke 10;19) How important is using the name in ministering healing and deliverance? (Mark 9:39-40) Can the believer do the same works as Jesus? (John 14;12).

Being Diligent as a Believer

THE BELIEVERS BIBLE STUDY
Stewards of The mysteries of God
#03 Being Diligent as a Believer
By Paul B Thomas

Topic: Diligence
Scripture Reading: 2 Cor8;7 Proverbs 6:6-11
Purpose: Diligence enables us to keep what God has blessed us with. Diligence enables us to own our lives and take control of our future. These are principles which rule the financial, spiritual and earthly worlds and should not be confused with grace and favour. Neither substituted for the course of diligence.

1.But as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you – see that you excel in this act of grace also. (2 Cor 8:7 ESV).

2.For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self- control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. (2 Peter 1;5-7 ESV).

3.What does Solomon say in relation to a Shepherds diligence?
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks (Proverbs 27:3).

4.What does the wisest man who ever lived say regarding financial diligence
He that gatherers in summer is a wise son but he that sleepers in harvest is a son that causeth shame (Proverbs 10:5).

5.Can a believer be rich in industry? (business)
The hand of the diligent maketh rich (Proverbs 10:4).

6.How does Preparation and planning ward off poverty?
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. (Proverbs 6;6-11).

7.We are to be diligence in keeping our motives and attitude pure.
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4;23).

8.What is the key to the believer’s harvest of blessing?
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Gal 6:9)

9.How should we be diligent in our seeking after God?
But without faith it is impossible to please God; for he that comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11;6).
He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God, and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper. (2 Chron 26:5).

10.How does diligence lead to promotion in the workplace?
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. (Proverbs 12;24)

These papers are written By Paul B Thomas for the propagation of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, the understanding of the apostles doctrine and the revelation of Jesus Christ.

NOTES:1.The way to wealth if you desire it is as plain as the way to market,. It depends chiefly on two words, industry and frugality; that is, waste neither time nor money but make the best of both/ Without industry and frugality nothing will do and with them everything- (Benjamin Franklin).. 2 We must ask ourselves are we diligent in our prayer times, are we diligent in our church assembly. Are we diligent inner private bible study? Are we diligent in our custody of the gifts God has given us?

QUESTIONS: What is the definition of diligence mean? Whats the meaning of “tribute” as in Prov 12;24? List three aspects of diligence? What are the differences between a prosperous man and a sluggard? How can the believer develop habits of industry, technology and spirituality.
SCRIPTURES: Prov 24;30-31;

How Should We Study The Bible?

General Subject
The Believers Bible Study
Message 2
How Should we Study the Bible
Scripture reading (1 Thess 5;21)

1.We should study the bible to prove all things
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thess 5;21)

2.We should study the bible for correction
“Thus says the LORD, The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the house that you build unto Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things has Mine hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.” (Isaiah  66;1-2)

3.We should study the bible to know Jesus as God.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me (John 5;39).

4.We should study the bible to obtain instructions in righteousness
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for CORRECTION, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Tim 3;16-17).

5.We should read the bible to discern between rumour and revelation
Why did Christ speak in parables? The Bible says, “And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speak You unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given” (Matt. 13:10-11).

6.We show study the bible to seek answers to controversies
The Bereans “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

7.We should study the scriptures to know God and God’s will
If any man will ( willet to do RV) to do his will he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of god or whether I speak of myself (John 7;17).

8.We should study the scriptures assisted with the Holy Ghost
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God (1 Cor 2;10)
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (1 Cor 2;11)

9.We should seek scriptures to make us wise unto salvation
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Cor 2;14).

10.We should study the scriptures to show ourselves approved before God and Man
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2;15)
The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure (Matthew 12;35).
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Col 4:6).

NOTES:
We should study the bible comparatively, having a number of versions. One particular verse found only in the KJV is I John 5:7. It is not found in any older Greek manuscripts. It was most likely added by a monk scribe who injected the theology of the counterfeit church during the middle Ages.

It states, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” This heretical verse was injected to promote the false doctrine of the trinity

Questions to Consider:
What three qualities does the Holy Ghost IMPART (Proverbs 2:3-5). To those who believe the resurrection and apply as in the new birth Jesus give them a divine ability, what is this divine ability (Luke 24;45). What further reward is given to the seeker of scripture? (2 Ti 3;15).

For further Study:
And Peter “remembered” the word that Jesus had said (Matt26;75).
“To call to mind” “To hold fast”and “to remember” or to “bring to remembrance.” For we shall judged by that which is written (John 12;48) and charged not “to go beyond” that which is written (1 Cor 4;6 ASV) (2 Peter 1;12-15; Mark 14;9; Luke 8;15; 1 Cor 15;2).
